A tall two-handled amphora with a tapering body in a red-brown fabric
with paler surfaces. A rare type with only a few specimens recorded
from Britain and Gaul and dating to the 3rd and 4th centuries. The
source is unknown. |

Hard reddish-brown fabric with paler surfaces with numerous rounded
limestone inclusions.

Two-handled amphora with slender tapering body, curving neck,
flaring towards the rim.

Uncertain. A possible example from Benghazi (Riley 1979, fig.96
399) cited by Martin Kilcher (1994, 440, fn 584) may suggest a
source in the Mediterranean.

Distribution
|
Very few specimens have been identified, and these are from Britain
and Gaul.
